Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital and Clinics will be joining thousands of health systems across the country celebrating National Hospital May 8-14. Staff members annually participate in a number of internal events and activities, celebrating their colleagues and collective mission to serve the healthcare needs of the community.
This year, Gundersen Boscobel is going beyond just the internal events and opening up the celebration of healthcare to the community through a series of public events, including:
Healthy Hustle 5k Run/Walk
Tuesday, May 10
The Boscobel Area Hospital and Clinics Foundation and Boscobel Pharmacy are partnering to host the first annual Healthy Hustle 5k Run/Walk. The event offers an opportunity for community members to enjoy a fun, healthy activity at no cost. The course will begin at the Gundersen Boscobel Hospital Bluff Street Entrance and bring participants down the Sanders Creek path and back. All ages are encouraged to join, with strollers welcome.
The Healthy Hustle 5k Run Walk/Walk will be held on Tuesday, May 10th with registration starting at 5:30 p.m. and a race start time of 6:00 p.m. There is no cost for the event. Onsite registration will be located at the Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital and Clinics Bluff Street Entrance. Nurse Recognition Event

Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital and Clinics cordially invites ALL new, current, and retired nurses from the community to a brunch and nurse recognition event. As part of National Nurse Week, the nursing staff at Gundersen Boscobel would like to honor all types of nurses in the community for their dedication to compassionate, skilled care.
The event will take place on Tuesday, May 10th from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. It will be held in the Gundersen Boscobel Hospital Cafeteria with food and drinks provided. For more information on the event, please contact Theresa Braudt at (608) 375-6203.
Teddy Bear Clinic
Saturday, May 14
Children of all ages are invited to be doctors for a day at Gundersen Boscobel’s Teddy Bear Clinic. This fun-filled event features hands on activities to teach your child about different medical exams and help take the fear out of visiting the doctor. Local EMS, Police, and fire will be onsite for tours of their vehicles and equipment, along with Gundersen’s Medlink Helicopter. Come for a day of play and learn more about check-ups, surgery, lab, nutrition, and more!
The Teddy Bear Clinic will be held on Saturday, May 14th and located at the Gundersen Boscobel Hospital ER/Main Entrance. The event will run from 9-11 a.m. with no prior registration required. Teddy bears will be provided as supplies last.
