At last month’s monthly meeting of the Fennimore Community School Board, Griffin Fry was named the valedictorian, and Kamryn Loy was named the salutatorian of the Fennimore High School graduating class of 2026.
Valedictorian Griffin Fry is the son of Gabe and Heather Fry.
Griffin is graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors and is an active member of the National Honor Society, where he has served as secretary. He has also been recognized as a WIAA Scholar and will graduate with 34 college credits already completed.
He has been heavily involved in leadership and academic organizations, including Student Council and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), where he served as president for two years, and qualified for the state competition three times, and advanced to the national level once.
He has also participated in the SWAL Math Competition.
Griffin has participated in cross country and track, as well as numerous music ensembles including choir, show choir, madrigal, Chamber Singers (Treble Voice Choir accompanist), Chordsmen (Bass Voice Choir), jazz band, and handbell choir. He has also been active in musical productions, solo and ensemble, SWMA Honors Choir, and Dorian Honors Choir.
Additionally, Griffin has excelled in forensics/speech, earning three gold medals and qualifying for the state competition four times.
Outside of school, he is involved in the National Piano Guild and has held multiple jobs, including work at Scoops, Lands’ End, as a church accompanist, and providing snow removal services.
Following graduation, Griffin plans to attend Luther College to study music education with an emphasis in choral education, while also continuing his involvement in cross country and track.
He hopes to become a music teacher at the high school level and eventually at the collegiate level, while also coaching cross country or track.
Salutatorian Kamryn Loy, daughter of Alan Loy and Racheal Bloyer, is also graduating with Summa Cum Laude Honors with a 4.0 GPA and will graduate with nearly 50 credits from Southwest Wisconsin Technical College.
Kamryn also is an active member of the National Honor Society, currently serving as the vice-president of the Fennimore chapter.
She is also a member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and currently serves as the President of Progress. During her time with FBLA, Loy has been a regional champion and state qualifier in Website Design for two consecutive years.
Additionally, she has competed in the SWAL math competition in all four of her high school years.
Throughout high school, Kamryn participated in a wide variety of co-curricular activities including forensics/ speech, golf, cross country, and track and field.
Her activities carry on into the summer as well, as Kamryn lifeguards and teaches swim lessons at the Fennimore Community Pool.
Following graduating, Kamryn will be attending the University of Wisconsin - Madison, majoring in Accounting. Kamryn plans to take the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) exam after she’s graduated and become a licensed CPA.
Fennimore High School’s graduation ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, at 9 a.m., in the Fennimore Middle/High School gym.
