The Platteville Dairy Days Committee decided to host its first Dairy Day Logo contest for the 66th Annual Dairy Days Celebration. The Platteville Area Chamber of Commerce sponsored the contest, which drew submittals from throughout the tri-state area. The winning logo was designed by Sean Voights of Platteville (left, with chamber executive director Kathy Kopp) and depicts the theme of this year’s event, “Going Green in 2013”. Voigts received a check for $200 from the chamber for his winning design. Dairy Days will be held at Legion Field Sept. 6–8, with the parade downtown Saturday, Sept. 7 at 9:30 a.m. Parade entry deadline is Aug. 31. The 16th annual Historic Re-Enactment will also take place at Mound View Park Sept. 6–8, with Student Day Friday, Sept. 6.
