Last year, three local band directors got on stage to join in the finale of the first performance in Richland Center of Symphony on the Rocks featuring Vic Ferrari.

This year, the three have been hired to perform with the band for the entirety of the two shows in Symphony on the Rocks’ return engagement at the City Auditorium in downtown Richland Center.

On Saturday, March 19, band directors Jeff Behrens of Richland Center High School, his wife Mary Beth Behrens of Ithaca High School, and Chris Simonson of Riverdale High School will respectively play timpani, French horn and trumpet.

The early show starts at 6 p.m. and the late show starts at 9 p.m. There will be different song lists for each show and audiences are encouraged to attend both.
