Viterbo show choir visits Hillsboro March 31

The Viterbo University Show Choir will visit  Hillsboro March 31.

They will do a clinic with high school choir members (about 30 of them), as well as students from Elroy and New Lisbon, which will start after lunch.  There will then be a concert free to the public that evening at 7 p.m.

Viterbo University’s Platinum Edition, a select show choir founded and directed by Nancy Allen, is celebrating 17 years. Platinum Edition draws members from all major areas of the La Crosse-based university. Emphasis is placed on performing literature from the pop, rock and Broadway repertoire.

Some of the songs that will be performed for concert: “Kickstart My Heart “(by Motley Crue); a Backstreet Boys versus the Spice Girls medley;  “Stairway to Heaven;” “Freebird;” “Let’s Face the Music and Dance.”

The male a capella group “Tonal II” will perform. Members include Gavin Zimmerman, Hunter Evenson, Alex Lentz, Connor Sullivan and Carter Semb.

The Hillsboro High School band will also participate in the concert.
