The Soldiers Grove Public Library will offer a morning workshop with local watercolor painter Anne Tedeschi on Saturday, April 11 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Tedeschi will teach watercolor technique and then offer attendees interested in trying their own hand at watercolor an opportunity to work on a simple project of their own.

Tedeschi hopes to share the pleasure of painting, encouraging everyone to play with the techniques she will teach. She hopes people will shake off the inhibitions they may have about whether they can paint or be an artist.

“People will often say ‘I can't draw a straight line’. That hasn't got the slightest thing to do with it,” Tedeschi said.

Painting supplies will be provided for those who choose to paint.

The event is free of charge and everyone is welcome.
