Hunter safety classes to be offered in Gays Mills

GAYS MILLS - Hunter safety classes will be available once again in Gays Mills starting on Monday, Oct. 2 at 6 p.m.

The classes will take place at the Gays Mills Community Commerce Center, located on State Highway 131 in Gays Mills.

There is no age requirement, but students under the age of 12 may not receive small game hunting privileges from the Wisconsin DNR. All students must have a Wisconsin DNR identification number. To get an ID number, call the DNR at 888-936-7463 (from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday).

Students will register for the course at the first class on October 2, and the fee will be $10 per student. Classes will run for two weeks, Monday through Thursday, Oct. 2, 3, 4 and 5, Then, there will be classes Monday, Oct. 9 and Tuesday, Oct. 10—concluding on Thursday, Oct. 12. All classes will begin at 6 p.m.
