Man injured in one-vehicle crash in Kickapoo township

A 45-year-old Viola resident was injured Sept. 27 in a one-vehicle crash in Kickapoo township.

According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office in Viroqua, at 8:20 a.m., Le Suong Cina lost control of his vehicle while driving on Hwy. 131 north of Co. U.

The vehicle went onto the shoulder on the right side of the road. Cina then overcorrected, and his vehicle slid down the highway and went off the road on the right side, struck the ditch and over turned onto the side of the vehicle. The vehicle came to rest on its side in the ditch.

Cina, who was wearing a seatbelt, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported by Kickapoo Valley Rescue Ambulance to Vernon Memorial Healthcare in Viroqua.

The Kickapoo Valley Rescue assisted at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
