Meet the 2024 FHS valedictorian and salutatorian

Brennen Freymiller has been named the valedictorian and Tyson Gehrke has been named the salutatorian of the Fennimore High School graduating class of 2024.
        Valedictorian Brennen Freymiller is the son of Mike and Kim Freymiller.
        Brennen, graduating with Summa Cum Laude Honors, is also a member of the National Honor Society, serving as president, as well as president of the student council,
        He is also a member of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and a three time state qualifier in Entrepreneurship and Job Interviewing.
        Brennen has qualified for state three times in forensics, taking silver in 2022 and 2023.
        He is also in the high school choir, and has taken part in the school musical the last three years.
        Brennen also competes in sprinting, the long jump and the triple jump, for which he was named all conference for last year for the high school track and field team.
        This fall, Brennen will be attending UW-Madison, majoring in physics, and possibly minoring in computer science.
        Salutatorian Tyson Gehrke is the son of Tyson and Tanya Gehrke.
        In addition to graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors, Tyson is also a National Honor Society member, and was a Wisconsin nominee for U.S. Presidential Scholars Program in Career and Technical Education.
        He is also heavily involved in FFA, having been a chapter officer for the last two years. In addition to being a chapter officer Tyson has been a state winner in land evaluation at the FFA Career Development Event, as well as a state qualifier for FFA Leadership Development in prepared public speaking.
        Tyson is one of 15 statewide seniors who serves on the 2023-24 Wisconsin Agricultural Youth Council.
        He is also a member of the FBLA, having been a three time state qualifier in Accounting I, II and Ag Business.
        In addition, Tyson has qualified for state four times in forensics, has served on student council, and is a members of the high school baseball team.
        Tyson plans on attending Iowa State University this fall, majoring in agricultural business.
        His post college plans include either working in agricultural sales or being an ag loan officer.

        Fennimore High School’s graduation ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, May 25.
