Boscobel woman dies after exiting moving pickup truck

A 26-year-old Boscobel woman was killed last Friday afternoon after jumping out of a moving pickup truck on County Highway N south of Avoca.

According to the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department, at approximately 12:22 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27, Iowa County 911 received a call from the driver of a motor vehicle that his front seat passenger had exited the vehicle while it was going down County N in the town of Clyde.

According to statements from Wesston W. Brownlee, 33, of Boscobel, he was northbound on County N in a 2012 Ford pickup truck when his wife, Elizabeth M. Brownlee, 26, of Boscobel, opened the door and exited the truck while it was still moving.
