CC Epidemiological Metrics
CINDY RINIKER, Crawford County Director of Public Health, has released epidemiological metrics which indicate when it is safe to reopen and resume business as usual.

DRIFTLESS - Over the past week, from Monday, May 11 to Monday, May 18, only Monroe County in the region has held steady with numbers of infections, and all others saw increases.

The State of Wisconsin saw an increase of 2,269 cases, going from 10,418 to 12,687. The number of deaths increased by 50, and the total number of negative tests increased by 36,469. 

The number of counties reporting no infections shrunk from four to two, with only Langlade and Taylor counties now reporting no infections. Thirteen counties reported a rate of infections ranging from 0-3, while counties reporting more than 10 cases increased from 45 to 48.

Crawford Countysaw an increase of six cases, going from 17 to 23. The number of negative tests increased by 115, and there have been no deaths in the county.

Vernon Countysaw an increase of eight cases, going from four to 12. The number of negative tests increased by 216, and there have been no deaths.

Richland Countysaw in increase of infections of one case. The number of negative tests increased by 95, and the number of deaths in the county increased from two to three.

Monroe Countyheld the number of infections steady at 15. Negative tests increased by 328, and the number of deaths in the county remains at one.

Juneau Countyhas seen an increase of one case in the last week, going from 21 to 22. The number of deaths in the county remains at one.

LaCrosse Countyhas seen an increase in new cases in the last week of 12, going from 35 to 47. There have been no deaths in the county.

Grant Countyhas seen an increase of five cases in the last week, going from 69 to 74. In addition, there has been one additional death in the county, bringing the total number of deaths to 10.

Lafayette Countyhas seen an increase of three cases in the last week, going from 13 to 16. There have been no deaths in the county.

Iowa Countyhas seen an increase of one case in the last week, going from 10 to 11. There have been no deaths in the county.

The State of Iowahas seen an increase of 2,583 cases in the last week, going from 12,372 to 14,955. The number of deaths has increased by 84.

Allamakee Countyhas seen an increase of two cases in the last week, going from 112 to 114.

Clayton Countyhas seen an increase of seven cases in the last week, going from 23 to 30.

Blackhawk County, which is the location of the Tyson-Waterloo meatpacking plant, now has seen 1,603 cases and 30 deaths. 

Dubuque Countyhas seen an increase in cases in the last week of 79, going from 197 to 276.
