A Platteville resident brought this owl to the Police Department Saturday around 5 p.m. The resident reported the owl had fallen out of a nest near Virgin Street and Laura Street and was being attacked by crows. The Department of Natural Resources’ Raptor Rescue Unit picked up the owl for medical care, but will be returning it to its nest.
