June 8: Weekly Driftless COVID-19 round up

DRIFTLESS - Over the past week COVID-19 diagnoses statewide increased from 18,543 June 1 to 21,038 Monday, June 8. That is a statewide increase of 2,495 cases. The number of deaths increased from 595 to 646, according to the state Department of Health Services. 

Crawford Countysaw no increase of cases, remaining at 26. The number of negative tests increased by 178, and there have been no deaths in the county. Vernon Countysaw an increase one case in the last week, increasing to 22. The number of negative tests increased by 545, and there have been no deaths.

Richland Countysaw no increase in cases, remaining at 14. The number of negative tests increased by 288, and the number of deaths in the county remained at four. Southern Richland County has six cases.

Monroe Countysaw an increase of one case, growing to 19. Negative tests increased by 395, and the number of deaths in the county remains at one.

Juneau Countysaw an increase of one case last week, growing to 23. The number of deaths in the county remains at one.

LaCrosse Countyhas seen an increase in new cases in the last week of 20, going from 56 to 76, with two hospitalizations. There have been no deaths in the county.

Grant Countyhas seen an increase of three cases in the last week, going from 96 to 99. There have been no additional deaths in the county, with the number of deaths remaining at 12.

Lafayette Countyhas seen an increase of six cases in the last week, going from 28 to 34. There have been no deaths in the county. 

Iowa Countyhas seen no increases in two casess in the last week, remaining 16. There have been no deaths in the county.

Green CountyMonroe’s three census tracts combine for 38 cases, northeastern Green County has 11 cases, and northwestern Green County has seven positive tests.
