BOSCOBEL - A well-known Boscobel man currently living in La Crosse was killed Monday when he crashed his Harley Davidson motorcycle into a tree near Woodman.

Ernest “Ernie” Reynolds, 65, was driving his 2006 Harley on Highway 133 just north of County C when he left the road while negotiating a curve. The Grant County Sheriff’s Department received a call at 3:11 p.m. reporting a motorcycle over an embankment on STH 133 between County C and County K.

An inspection of the scene showed that Reynolds had left the highway, gone down an embankment, struck a tree and went through a barbed wire fence.

Reynolds was ejected from the motorcycle and landed a short distance away. The motorcycle came to rest against a tree.

Reynolds was pronounced dead at the scene by the Grant County Coroner and the crash remains under investigation.

Reynolds was a state qualifying wrestler at Boscobel High School who graduated in 1973.
