A 33-year-old man from rural Soldiers Grove was discovered dead alongside Adams Road in Clayton Township on Tuesday, July 1. The death is believed to be health-related and fuoul play is not suspected, according to authorities.

At 5:05 p.m., the Crawford County Sheriff Department received a call from a passerby that there was an unresponsive male subject lying on Adams Road next to a parked vehicle. The North Crawford Rescue Squad and sheriff’s deputies responded and found Joshua G. Krambeer, 33, deceased lying face down on the roadway. 

Krambeer’s vehicle was parked on the shoulder of the road near his body. Krambeer was pronounced dead at the scene by Crawford County Coroner Joe Morovits.     

An autopsy was performed on Wednesday, July 2 at the UW Hospital in Madison. Preliminary autopsy results indicated that Krambeer had a severely blocked main artery in his heart.

The evidence at the scene indicated that the man was alone at the time of his death and no foul play is suspected, according to the sheriff’s department.
