The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office in Sparta, along with officers from the villages of Kendall and Cashton and the cities of Tomah and Sparta,  will conduct a speed waves deployment Aug. 28-29.

The deployment will focus on seatbelt and speed violations. Its  goal is to reduce speeds on county highways and encourage seatbelt use.

These deployments are made possible through a federal grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Safety and the Bureau Transportation Safety.
