The Viroqua Area Rotary Club is looking for nominations for its 2014 Family of the Year.

People interested in nominating a Vernon County family for the honor must fill out a nomination form. In addition, they must write a detailed letter about the family, including the following criteria: How the family works together; how the family plays together (recreational activities, interests, etc.); special talents of the family; challenges overcome with grace and courage and activities in the community (school, church, service organizations, etc.).

The nomination form and letter are due Oct. 24 and may be mailed to: Family of the Year, P.O. Box 261, Viroqua, WI 54665. Forms can be picked up at the Viroqua Chamber Main Street office in the Western Technical College-Viroqua campus, Citizens First Bank in Viroqua, Westby Public Library, Bank of Ontario in Ontario and Genoa State Bank in Genoa.

The Family of the Year Banquet will be held at the Viroqua VFW Nov. 16. Everyone is welcome to attend.
