Ron Fruit holding the plaque that was presented by Jerry Bower and Ken Thiede of the Richland County Historical Society.

Appearing on the Morning Show on WRCO Radio this past Monday, November 21, were Richland County Historical Society President Ken Thiede, and former long-time President Jerry Bower presenting Ron Fruit with a plaque for both he and his wife Beth with their distinction of historical service to the Richland County area. The attached picture and verbage appears on the plaque that is shaped like the outline of Richland County and made from local crafted hardwood.

At their most recent bi-annual meeting the Richland County Historical Society Board of Directors recognized the significance that Ron and Beth have done for the promotion of history as they are now nearing retirement. Best wishes to the Fruits on behalf of the Richland County Historical Society and a sincere thank you for all that they’ve done for our area.
