Zander Lee Rosebrook, born on Jan. 15, 2015 at 4:03 p.m. to proud parents, Jeff Rosebrook and Vanessa Andrews of Argyle was the first baby of the year to be born at the Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington in 2015.
Zander weighed in at 9 pounds, 5 ounces and was 20 inches long. He also arrived a bit later than expected, as Vanessa was originally due on Thursday, Jan. 8, meaning that Zander arrived exactly a week later than anticipated.
Vanessa began to go into labor and the couple left for the hospital around 1:30 p.m. last Thursday and Zander was delivered by Dr. Ann Lucas just a couple of hours later. “It was a pretty quick birth,” said Vanessa.
Zander joins one brother: Preston, 2, who is very excited to finally be an older brother.
“When I was pregnant, Preston was always saying it was ‘his baby,’ but now that the baby’s actually arrived it’s definitely Mommy’s and Daddy’s,” said Vanessa with a laugh.
Grandparents are Lisa Andrews of Argyle, Bruce Andrews of Darlington, Todd and Colleen Rear of Argyle and David Rosebrook of Argyle. Great-grandparents are Paul and the late Sylvia Badertscher of Darlington, Arlene and the late Ivan Andrews of Darlington, Mike and Pam Rosebrook of Cedarville, Ill., Ann and Gery Coan of Freeport, Ill., the late Jeff and Diane Weaver of Shullsburg and the late Ken Isle of Monroe.
