The sun came out Tuesday for the first concrete pour on the Wisconsin River Trail project on what has been a record-setting summer for moisture. City and Boscobel Utilities employees joined forces to pour and smooth concrete on the southernmost portion of the trail. The wet summer has slowed progress on the project, which is estimated to cost $600,000—including in-kind work of $220,000 from the city. “I’m guessing we’re spending a lot more time out there than we initially thought,” City Engineer Mike Reynolds, foreground, told the Common Council Monday night.
