Two injured in crash on Hwy. 35

Two men were injured March 17 in a two-vehicle crash on Hwy. 35 in Bergen township.

According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office in Viroqua, Torger Henckel, 17, of rural Viroqua was driving south on Hwy. 35 north of Windwalker Trail when his vehicle crossed the center line.

It struck a northbound vehicle driven by Carlos Aguilera, 26, El Paso, Texas. Craig Marshall, 49, Stuttgart, Ark., was a passenger in Aguilera’s vehicle.

Both Henckel and Marshall suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at the scene by the Stoddard-Bergen Fire Department.

All involved were wearing seatbelts.

The incident remains under investigation.
