Two injured in rollover on slippery Hwy. 56

Two Reedsburg residents were injured Jan. 26 in a one-vehicle rollover on Hwy. 56 in Viroqua township.

According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office in Viroqua, at 9:32 a.m., Donna Dyer, 76, was westbound when she lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a curve on a snow covered, slippery road.

The vehicle struck several small trees and overturned, coming to rest on its top.

Two passengers were riding in the vehicle. Both were wearing seatbelts.

Clayton Dyer, 88, was in the front passenger seat. Both Donna and Clayton Dyer were transported to Vernon Memorial Healthcare in Viroqua by Tri-State Ambulance Service.

The third passenger, Tisha Schulz-Minor, was not injured.

Assisting at the scene was the Wisconsin State Patrol and Viroqua Fire Department.
