The Vernon Women’s Alliance (VWA) has wrapped up its 2013 annual fundraiser with monetary donations to eight Vernon County food pantries, including the Good Samaritan in Hillsboro.

This past October, the VWA held its annual fundraiser at Tangled Hickory Wine Bar in Viroqua. Every year the women’s alliance chooses one cause or organization to receive the proceeds. The 2012 proceeds were donated to Habitat for Humanity.

With the generosity of Tangled Hickory and the women of the community, the Vernon Women’s Alliance was able to raise money to distribute to all of the Vernon County food pantries.

Donations were also given to the Bethel Butikk, La Farge Food Pantry, Good Shepherd Food Pantry, Living Faith Food Pantry, Stoddard Community Food Pantry, New Hope Food Pantry, and Viola Food Pantry.
