Charles ‘Chuck’ Dagnon, 74, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center.

He was born in Bell Center on January 12, 1938, son of the late Laurel and Alice (Hiam) Dagnon.

Chuck graduated from Gays Mills High School and moved to Racine in 1964. On April 7, 1979 he was united in marriage to Gloria Iverson who passed away this past January 29.

Chuck was retired from S.C. Johnson where he was employed for 30 years. He also owned and operated Chuck’s Insulating Co. He was an avid golfer and bowler who also enjoyed hunting, gardening, woodworking and restoring antique furniture. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his daughters, Charlene (Bill) Thomas, Wendy Dagnon (Frances Phillips), Michele (Scott) Ferraro; step-daughters, Jannelle Otto (Vladi Tomasek), Sonja (Bill) Luczyk; grandchildren, Jason, Joshua, Adam, April, Marco, Nico, Anthony, Brandon, Amannda, Noelle, and Gillian; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Dagnon; sisters-in-law, Sandra Rae and Joyce Iverson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Warren Williams officiating. Private interment was held at the Utica Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to nurse Candice for her loving and compassionate care.
