Cindy May (Pacl) Ketelsen, age 47 years, of Hillsboro died Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 at the Serenity House in Tomah, Wisconsin.

She was born on Jan. 23, 1966 to Richard and Jane (Sittig) Pacl in Richland Center.  Cindy graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1984.  She married Mike Ketelsen on June 25, 1988 and they lived in Viroqua, they later divorced.  Cindy then moved back to Hillsboro.

Cindy had worked at Rockwell Automation in Richland Center for several years until her cancer had metastasized in the end of 2012.  She also worked at Hallmark for a few of those years as well.

She was an avid collector of cow collectibles, especially her Mary Moo’s.  She enjoyed the outdoors through tending to her flowers, watching the birds at the feeders, taking ATV trips to the pond and camping.  She was also active in her Cancer Support group.

Cindy was a person who would try to help out anyone who needed it, whether it meant changing her own plans or even taking a day off work.  She was a friend to many and will be missed.

Survivors include two children, Jacob Ketelsen and Michael Ketelsen; special friend, Gary Dank of Hillsboro; parents, Richard & Jane Pacl of Hillsboro; sisters, Carol Downing of Hillsboro, Helen Pacl of Winona, MN and brother, Richard (Michele) Pacl of LaCrosse; and nieces and nephew, Julie Downing, Justin Downing and Morgan Pacl.

Memorial Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro.  Inurnment will be in the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Hillsboro.  Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. For online information go to www.pichafuneralhomes.com.   In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made for a cancer fund in Cindy’s memory.
