Daisy P. Eastman, age 97 years, of Hillsboro, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Milestone Senior Living in Hillsboro, WI.

She was born on April 20, 1918 to Walter and Floral (Waddell) Fish in Vernon County, WI.  She attended the Valley School.  Daisy was united in marriage to W. Richard Eastman on Feb. 17, 1937.  He preceded her in death on July 26, 1994.

They lived in Hillsboro for many years.  She managed the MECA Sportswear Sewing Factory in Hillsboro for many years and later in Ontario.

Daisy was an active member of the First Congregational Church in Hillsboro, where she enjoyed volunteering.  She was also known as “the quilt lady” because of the many quilts she made and the sewing work she completed.  Many quilts were made by the group of ladies working from the Church.

Survivors include her children, Larry (Evelyn) Eastman of Apple Valley, California, Virginia (David) Sparkman of Lewiston, Idaho, Phillip (Venie) Eastman of Fountain Hills, Arizona and Cindy (William) Verbsky of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren, Jill, James, Glen, Travis, Suzanne, Stephanie, Tara and Brenda; seven great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

In addition to her husband, Richard; she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Pansy Hubbard Nemec and Violet Ellis and brothers, Elton and Elgin Fish.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in Hillsboro, with Rev. Isaac Fleming officiating.  Burial will be in the Forest – Burr Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.  Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Church on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.  For online information go to www.pichafuneralhomes.com
