Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Ann Schoonover, 85, was born on March 27, 1932, in Buena Vista Township, Richland County, to Herman ‘Bill’ and Minnie (Strang) Alvin, the third of five children. She went to her heavenly home on Sunday, November 19, 2017.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 25, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Germantown, with Father Wesley Janowski officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 24, at Pratt Memorial Chapel, from 4:00-7:30 p.m., with a rosary to be prayed at 7:30 p.m. A visitation will also be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on Saturday, November 25, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the mass at 11:00. The family suggests that memorials be made in memory of Betty to the Rockbridge Cemetery Association, St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, or Sauk County Health Care Center (Eagle Path Activities). A special thanks goes to Sauk County Health Care Center for all the love and support given to mom these past 15 months.
