Frederick E. “Fred” Scherf, 70, of Platteville, died on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016, at Manor Care Health Services in Platteville.

Memorial services will be 12 (Noon) on Monday, Jan. 9, at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, where military rites will be accorded by VFW Post #5274 and American Legion Post #42.  Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Platteville.  Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
