Harry Paul Tiedtke, 104 of Elroy, Wisconsin; died at the Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015. He was born in Summit Township, Juneau County, Wisconsin on Sept. 7, 1910, the son of William and Sophie (Lisko) Tiedtke.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wives: Bonnie and Isolene, sisters: Tillie, Alma, Ruth, Bertha, and Tina, brothers: Otto, Hugo, and William.

Harry grew up on his family farm and farmed through the younger part of his life. He later worked as a machinist at Vacuum Platers in Mauston. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Elroy. Harry liked to fish and work on his wood crafts. He loved his church and going to church. Going out to eat or eating at the meal site, Harry was there to talk and socialize. He especially liked to go out for rides in the country, and going past the rural area where he spent his younger years.

He is survived by his children: Ramona Sorenson of Elroy, William Tiedtke and friend Joann of Elroy, Judy (Dave) Johnson of Hillsboro, Jean (Bill) Mellentine of Reedsburg, Ronnie Tiedtke and friend Peggy of Wisconsin Dells, Mary Manthey and fiancé Ernie Schultz of Elroy, step-children Carol Thompson and David (Linda) Goldsmith, both of Florida, Jerry Goldsmith of Mauston, Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and special friend and caregiver, Arleen Romero.

Funeral Services for Harry will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Elroy, with Pastor Conrad Prell officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Wonewoc. Friends may call from noon till the time of service Tuesday at the church.

Thompson Funeral Home, 402 Center St., Wonewoc, is assisting the family.
