James Darrell Harwick Sr., 66 of Benton, passed away June 12, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque. Visitation was from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 16. Burial was in Scales Mound Township Cemetery, Scales Mound, Ill. He was born Aug. 27, 1945, in Shullsburg, the son of Harold and June (Davis) Harwick. He was united in marriage to his wife of 47 years, JoAnn Bartell, on Feb. 13, 1965, in Galena, Ill. Full obituary in the June 21, 2012 issue of the Republican Journal.
