Lee Baxter, 89, of Avoca died peacefully surrounded by his family and dear friends at his home in Avoca on Thursday, August 27, 2015. 

Funeral services were held on Monday, August 31, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Richland Center. Rev. Jeanne Jones officiated. Burial was held on Monday at the Avoca Cemetery, where military rites were accorded. Friends called on Sunday at Clary Memorial Funeral Home, Richland Center, or until the time of the service on Monday at the church. The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, along with the Clary Memorial Funeral Home, Richland Center, served the family.
