Louise M. Knight, 95 formerly of Pecatonica, Ill. died at 7:30 pm Friday June 3, 2016 at the Lafayette Manor in Darlington.  She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry and Mary (Knudtson) Joslin of DeKalb, Ill.  She attended DeKalb schools, Northern Illinois University and Rockford College.  She was a superintendent of White Swan School in Rockford, Ill. and taught in Pecatonica, Ill. for over 30 years and enjoyed doing the Story Hour at the Pecatonica Library. 
Louise was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Rockford, Ill.  She was a member of Pecatonica Rotary, Pecatonica Women’s Club, Pecatonica VFW, and Tri Township Homemakers Club. 
Louise was predeceased in death by her husband of 68 years, Sheldon A. Knight on January 6, 2010.  She is also predeceased by her parents, sister Carol Culver, brother Tom Joslin. 
Survivors include her daughter Beppi (Bob Johns) Byl of Darlington; grandson Christopher (April) Byl of Cross Plains; granddaughter Lisa (Brandon) Haesler of Darlington; great grandchildren Tabetha and Rowan Byl, Quintessa and Danick Haesler; brother Russell (Delores) Joslin of Naperville, Ill.; sisters Rosemary Hoye of Oswego, Ill., Anna Worthel of Durand, Ill., Irene (Don) Rutten of Saint Germain; sister in laws Shirley Smith of Rockford, Ill., Marilyn Knight of Rockford, Ill. 
Funeral ceremonies were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2016 in First Baptist Church 7th Street and Washington St Pecatonica, Ill. with Reverend David Huffstutler officiating.  Burial was in Willwood Burial Park in Rockford, Ill.  A visitation was held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral Wednesday.  McCorkle Funeral Home – Countryman Chapel 529 Washington St Pecatoncia, Ill. assisted the family.  Visit www.mccorklefuneralhome.com to send online condolences.
