Randall M. “Randy” McAloon, 58, of Waukesha, formerly of Shullsburg, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016 as the result of a heart attack at his home. He was born in Darlington, on Feb. 5, 1958 the son of Paul V. and Miriam L. (Rector) McAloon. Randy was a 1976 graduate of Shullsburg High School.  He then went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a degree in mechanical engineering.  He used that degree to pursue a lifelong career as an engineer.
Surviving him are his siblings; Lynne Oellerich of Maricopa, Ariz., Paula (Jim) Teasdale and Mark (Eva) McAloon both of Freeport, Ill., Susan (Tim) Decker of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., and Tim (Tracey) McAloon of Loves Park, Ill.; five nieces and four nephews; seven great nieces and three great nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Miriam on Oct. 11, 2006, Father Paul on Sept. 30, 2007, one infant brother: Paul, and his Brother-in-law:  Bruce Oellerich on March 7, 2016.
Randy was an avid reader. He also enjoyed following the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers, and Milwaukee Brewers.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Erickson Funeral Home (235 N. Judgement Street, Shullsburg) with Rev. Joji Reddy of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew’s Cemetery. A visitation will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
