Robert “Bob” Ubersox, age 80, of Shullsburg, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Lafayette Manor in Darlington.  He was born December 10, 1932 in Shullsburg, the son of Frederick and Hannah (Christen) Ubersox. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 339 East Louisa Street in Darlington with Rev. Dr. Connie J. Peake officiating. Burial was in St. Matthew’s Cemetery in rural Shullsburg.  Full obituary in the May 23, 2013 issue of the Republican Journal.

Miona M. Young, age 99 of Boscobel, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.  The funeral service for Miona was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1203 Park Street, Boscobel with Rev. Alan McCormick officiating. 

A visitation was held on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at the Kendall Funeral Service, 209 Mary Street, Boscobel from 1-4 p.m. An additional time of visitation was held at the church on Monday from 10 am until the time of the service. Miona will be laid to rest at West Fork Cemetery in Richland County. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Croix Hospice or Boscobel Rescue Squad are appreciated. The family would like to thank Miona’s neighbors and the St. Croix Hospice team for their care and support.  Online condolences can be offered at www.kendallfuneralservice.com.
