Sergeant Jakob J. Roelli, 24 of Darlington, passed away Sept. 21, 2011, in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, while serving during Operation Enduring Freedom.
A full Military Honors funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 15691 Co. K in Darlington, with Rev. Nate Whiteside officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington. A visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, from 2-9 p.m. at First Baptist Church and on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
