STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS—Steven R. Spease, age 62, of Stephenville, Texas, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013, six days before his 63rd birthday, in Fort Worth Hospital, Texas, after a battle with esophageal cancer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ruebin E. Spease; one great-niece and two nephews; his paternal grandparents, Theodore and Jennie (Lickel) Spease of Lancaster; his maternal grandparents, Herbert and Lois (Flitsch) Wiedmann of Potosi; and an uncle, Carl Wiedmann.
