Winsome "Winnie" A. O'Brien Halverson, 68, McGregor, Ia., died from complications of a recent heart surgery on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

She was born November 28, 1945 in Boscobel, the daughter of Everett and Helen (Olson) O'Brien. She grew up on the family farm and worked in Human Services for Crawford County for many years.

A memorial service was held Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bruce Hanson officiated.
