County should extend CAFO Moratorium
As a concerned citizen, I am appealing to all County Board Supervisors to “recognize that the public interests”, the public’s concerns about the health, economic, and environmental impacts that increased numbers of CAFOs in Crawford County could have, “must be their prime concern,” and urge them to vote to extend the moratorium.

Letters to The Platteville Journal for May 11In support of LLO In 2015, every tax dollar spent on tourism returned $7 to our state economy. Letters to The Platteville Journal for May 4Kendall’s ‘wall’ As poet Robert Frost noted, “Something there is that doesn’t love a wall ...”. Those who attended the April 19 Town of Kendall annual meeting were hoping for bridges, not walls. After numerous clashes, including the ever-increasing legal fees and the switch from the Darlington fire and ambulance district — done arbitrarily and without resident input — hopes were disappointed. Legal fees invoices for 2014 total $8,615.05; the 2015 total is $10,409.15, and 2016 will probably surpass both years.May 5, 2016
