Rob Deer Youth Baseball Camp Pro vs. Joe’s Softball Game and Home Run Derby
July 28, 7 p.m. at Derek Lendosky Community Field, Fennimore, (Live on WGLR 97.7)
As part of the three-day Rob Deer Youth Baseball Camp a group of local celebrity “all-stars” will square off against Rob Deer and his team of former major leaguers in a seven-inning slow pitch softball game at Fennimore’s Derek Lendosky Community Field.
Former pros schedule to play are Deer, Greg Vaughn, Cecil Cooper, Jim Ganter, Jeff D’Amico, Pete Ladd, Steve Woodard and John Leiber.
Playing for the Joe’s local all-star team will be sponsors Brent Sheckler (Suppz.com), RJ Osterhaus (Queen B Radio), Adam Day (Grant County Sherriff’s Department), Frank Riley (All-Star Custom Coolers), Ben Wood (Wood Law Frim LLC), Tim Satterwaite (TLS Construction), Robert Callahan (Fennimore Times), Darryl Hammond (Pekin Life Insurance), Chris Pease (Energy Management Consultants), Tim Herbst (Tri-State Restoration) and Jason Grimme (H&N Plumbing and Heating).
The game will be followed a Pros vs. Joes home run derby. The event is free to the public and all are invited to attend. Please bring a lawn chair as seating is limited. Concessions will be available.

Friday, July 24 at Platteville Golf & Country Club
This golf outing is a fundraiser to benefit adults with disabilities residing in Grant County and surrounding area. Big Duffer Hospice Golf Outing
Saturday, July 25, noon at Lacoma Golf Course (Dubuque)
This four-person best shot tournament is a fundraiser to benefit Hospice of Dubuque. Cost for golf is $75 per person for 18 holes or $55 for nine holes.
