On January 5, the Lady Chieftains hosted the Mineral Point Pointers for their first varsity action of 2017.  The Lady Chieftains knew this was going to be a battle and tried to stick with the Pointers in the first half. 

McKenzie Couey led the team with 11 in an otherwise cold shooting first half but struggled to shut down Sydney Staver, who scored 21 of her 33 points before heading into the locker room.  Chieftains were down by 15, 20-35.
