Zachary Mendis, son of Chanaka and Roshini Mendis  of Lancaster, is the 2016 National Geographic Bee School Champion at Lancaster Middle School.  Over 70 students in the seventh grade class took part in this year’s Bee.  Zachary will now complete the finalist’s test in order to qualify for the state competition.
