UW-Madison announces spring graduates

MADISON—An estimated 6,700 graduates participated in the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s spring 2015 commencement exercises.
Approximately 5,800 bachelor’s, master’s and law students celebrated in the main ceremony, held on Saturday, May 16 at Camp Randall Stadium. Television journalist, writer and cancer prevention advocate Katie Couric delivered the charge to the graduates.
In addition, 900 candidates receiving doctoral, Master of Fine Arts and medical professional degrees celebrated in a ceremony held at the Kohl Center on Friday, May 15. Peter Dervan, Estella Leopold, Bill Linton, and Mike Splinter received honorary degrees at the Friday ceremony.
