DARLINGTON – Nothing but great things have been said about the Darlington Family Restaurant since they opened up Dec. 3.
New owners Ahmet (Matt) and Ljeutrime (Timka) Eljezi and Rilind (Lindi) and Kujtesa (Tesa) Bektesi are very excited about this new journey.
“We’ve always had a passion for owning our own restaurant and this town looked like it really needed a nice family restaurant,” Tesa mentioned.
They found out about the restaurant from a family friend and came to Darlington to check it out. They fell in love with the city and moved to Darlington a few months ago.
Originally from Albania, the couples have been in America for a few years and have been very welcomed into the area and felt like they are home.
“As much as they appreciate us opening the restaurant, we appreciate their support that much more,” Tesa explained.
They serve a variety of food that is traditionally American from sirloin steak and eggs to fried chicken and everything in between. Their menu is full of items from breakfast, sandwiches, burgers, dinner items and items for seniors and a children’s menu.
They have never owned their own restaurant before but they all have had experience working at other restaurants. They hope to be successful and want everyone to leave feeling happy and satisfied with their experience.
“We just want to say thank you to each and every one of you that has stopped in and we hope this is just the beginning of a long and successful journey ahead.”
