Arrests made in multi-county burglaries
Thefts in three counties took place over six weeks

Two men have been taken into custody in connection with the multi-county home burglary investigation over the last several weeks.

Sauk County authorities reported last Friday that, on Friday, Aug. 15, Sauk County officials  –  in collaboration with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department  –  executed a search warrant in the Sauk County Village of Lime Ridge.

The warrant was issued following a lengthy investigation into numerous burglaries in Sauk, Richland and Vernon counties that occurred over a six-week period.

During the investigation on Aug. 15, 24-year-old Ryan Murray of Lime Ridge and 23-year-old Bronson Bantleon of Oshkosh were taken into custody and are currently in the Sauk County Jail on probation and parole holds. Both men had previously been convicted and served sentences in state prison for residential burglaries.

Officials from Sauk, Richland, Vernon and Marquette counties are continuing with the investigations.
