Platteville art students senior Caitlyn McMahon, junior Noah Hoeper and freshman Madison Knockel all received awards of merit for their artwork at this year’s Tri-States Regional High School Exhibit at UW–Platteville’s Hohr Gallery.

The exhibit, which closed Feb. 9, featured both two-dimensional and three-dimensional art work. Judges selected nine students whose work is moving on to Wisconsin Regional Artists Association exhibits at the local and state level.

The works were featured in the 19th Annual Spring Exhibit, which ran at the Rountree Gallery April 6–28. The final level will be at the annual WRAA State Exhibit held at UW Madison’s Pyle Center in September, at a time to be announced in the future.

A wide variety of art work by these and other Platteville Public School students will be displayed at the 14th annual Platteville High School and Middle School Art Exhibit on display at the Rountree Gallery through Sunday, June 2.

The gallery, at 385 E. Main St., is open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4:30 p.m.
