On Nov. 9, the cast and crew of Platteville High School’s fall play traveled to Waunakee High School to compete at the Sectional Level of the Wisconsin High School Forensics Association’s Fall Play Competition. The students performed the one-act play, “The Bridge Watcher,” an awareness play about teenage suicide. To advance to the next level of competition, the state level, a play must receive advance ratings from at least two of the three adjudicators critiquing the play. The Platteville High School entry fell one short receiving an advance rating from one adjudicator. “We were all disappointed we didn’t make it to State, but the kids took it well and showed a lot of class,” said Mike Willis, PHS Drama Director. “This cast was young, but very talented and I am looking forward to working with them again next year.”
