Seneca schools gets ready for the new year

In addition to approving the upgrade to school’s wireless computer network, the Seneca School Board acted on several other important matters during their regular meeting on Monday, July 15.

The board approved purchasing a Kubota tractor from Portland Implement in Cashton for $13,463 with the trade-in of the district’s New Holland tractor.

 The district uses the tractor for plowing snow, hauling materials and mowing grass.

The board also approved the purchase of a floor scrubber for $8,184 to replace an older piece of equipment.

The Seneca School District Annual Meeting date of Wednesday, Oct. 16 was approved.

The cost of all athletic passes and other school fees will remain the same as last year, the board decided.

The board also approved the elementary school, middle school, high school and extracurricular handbooks for the upcoming school year.

The next regular meeting of the Seneca School Board is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 19 at 7 p.m.
