Entries are requested by Sept. 22, for the annual Maplewood Quilt Show to be held Saturday, Oct. 10, in Viroqua.

Quilts may be new, vintage or heirloom.  Quilts may have been personally made, purchased or received as a gift.  Any size quilt is accepted.  There is a special category for quilters under age 18.  There is no charge to enter a quilt.  Quilts may be for sale if indicated at registration.  The price should include a 10% sale commission.

New, this year, is the availability of AQS Certified Appraisal of Quilted Textiles, Ellie Molstad.  Appointments for quilt appraisals are $35 and available by appointment.  Call Inga Gerber at 637-6358.

The show will be held rain or shine.  Most of the quilted items will be displayed inside Maplewood Terrace, 620 South Garfield Ave., Viroqua.

The show is not judged, but features a “viewer’s choice” award which is given at the end of the show.

All proceeds from the show and the quilt raffle featuring the queen sized quilt, made and donated by Beth Beier and machine stitched by Carol Melcher, will be used to purchase a new steam serving table for Maplewood Terrace Assisted Living Apartments.

To enter a quilt or wall hanging, send a brief description to Bethel Foundation, 614 South Rock Ave., Viroqua, WI  54665 or email igerber@bethelhome.org by Sept. 22, to be included in the program booklet.
