Do you own a historic building? Do you look around your property and think “There are updates/repairs/projects I need to do, but can I afford it?”

The City of Platteville is offering to help through a historic building seminar in the Municipal Building Thursday, Oct. 13 at 6:30 p.m.

The Wisconsin Historical Society administers two income tax credit programs for buildings listed in the State Register and National Register of Historic Places. Homeowners can receive 25 percent of eligible expenses and commercial building owners can receive up to 40 percent of eligible expenses, both in the form of income tax credits.

The program will be presented by Jen Davel, preservation architect for the Wisconsin Historical Society and the Platteville Historic Preservation Commission.
