The Juneau County Sheriff’s Office in Mauston and the Mauston, Elroy, and New Lisbon police departments will conduct Highly Visible Enforcement saturation patrols to combat impaired driving from 7 p.m. Feb. 20 to 3 a.m. Feb. 21. Juneau County residents and visitors will see an increase in law enforcement visibility.
Law enforcement said the goal is not to arrest more drunken drivers, but to deter drunken driving, so that the ultimate goal of zero preventable traffic deaths is attainable.
